Typically a stacked lobe is when there are multiple piercings at different heights on your lobes. Sometimes they will be in vertical alignment, but they might also be designed in triangular placements or even constellation positions.
Stacked lobes are a favourite here at Laura Bond - we love finding any way to maximise the number of earrings you can wear! Often people plan them at the start of their ear curation journey, but they are also a brilliant way to balance out previous poorly placed piercings which are pierced too high or low for your liking.
In terms of styling, they offer heaps of flexibility. We love showing off our tiny cartilage studs, either matching pieces or choosing two complementing pierces such as a star and a moon. They are also a fabulous way to be able to wear teeny tiny 5mm and 6mm huggies in the lower piercings, particularly if your ears are thicker and they don't fit in traditional lobe placements.
As with any new piercing, always double check with your piercer about what size you will be able to wear once healed - especially if you have a particular piece of jewellery in mind to avoid disappointment.
